    Last night I got on with weathering.

    This is after the wash, drying and waiting for the surplus to be rubbed off leaving a thin film and 'dirt' in the panel lines.

    This is showing wear and tear with bare metal showing through in key places. This is where the pilot climbs in and out. That is aluminium paint added with a cocktail stick, prop and wing leading edges and some hatch edges were also treated this way.

    Oil streaks are added strategically using oil paint dots applied with a cocktail stick and rubbed with your finger in the direction of airflow.


    Gun and smoke stains are added using artist pastels, powdered and brushed on.

    After all that I applied a matt coat and when dried attached detailed pieces, prop, undercarriage, aerial etc...
