I nearly forgot - someone down Blakes asked me to show some pics of my modelling set-up and I promised to do so. So here we are...

    First the work area:

Up top are the paints and various other materials:

Here is the benchtop, with my next project out and ready, more tools on the back:

Underneath lots of solvents, water, alcohol (not for drinking...) reference guides etc etc and more tools and 'sharps' in the drawer:

Here is my stash of the larger 1:32 scale kits awaiting attention. The nondescript brown box on the right happens to contain one of the most praised aircraft kits ever produced. An on-line shop I use blogged that this kit had a water damaged box and could not be sold 'as new' so I bid for it and got it for £84 inc postage, a real bargain. Its the Tamiya Mustang P51D which I will build in RAF colours eventually as a Mustang Mk IV with some aftermarket bits added.

Finally: Here is the actual aircraft I am about to build I will NOT be doing a build thread but I will post pics of the end result. This will be my last 1:48 build before I get stuck into the larger kits and I just love that very different post-war colour scheme. It will look great in the office alongside the Mk 1 Spit showing how the type evolved.
