[/IMAGE]So here we are! This diorama depicts a german Kubelwagen type 82 late model, being serviced somewhere behind the lines in a series of farm buildings. Scale is 1/35th, buildings are vacform from Miniart, the rest is Tamiya, brush painted in acrylics. This diorama took about three months to build and paint, the Kubel model is a gem, and only £12.50 from Turners on London Rd. I know from some e-mails that some of you like the techy stuff, so here it is - camera used is a Nikon D700 full frame sensor slr, a 105mm F2.5 Nikkor micro lens was fitted with a Marumi DRF14N ring-flash, asa was 800, exposure was F18 at 60th.Two led (daylight balanced) lamps were also used.
Kubelwagens had a VW boxer engine of 1131cc giveibg 25 hp, it had a range of 450km and used 8 litres of fuel per 100km, it had a top speed of 84 kph. aprox 55,000 were built and a 1944 model, complete but in need of major rebuilding recently sold for £22,000!
Next up is a WW1 British Mk4 male tank which will be a runner!
