    I'm with you on this one Paul, I too find them fascinating. I think there's been a lot of scaremongering going on which is why these residents are up in arms about having one near to them. I grew up living in a house that backed onto a station. When the steam trains were running (yes I remember them! lol) we got used to the trains huffing and puffing - chugging and grinding and getting whistles stuck for ages. We got used to the train doors slamming, the porters blowing their whistles and the general noise of a station. People would ask my family how we put up with it, and we told them ....... we don't notice it - and we didn't. I'm sure the same will happen with wind farms.They have to come if we want power in the future - end of. It is green energy and as you say - we don't want the lights to go out. Would I want one in my backyard? It wouldn't worry me one iota.
