Dover slipping a bit, hess appeared to change the formation and it didnt work, Dover had many chances but didnt take them all.
Now 2 points behind the leaders(Newport)who have now played 1 game less.
Saturday Dover at home to Eastleigh, in the FA cup 4th qualifying round with the winners getting £11,000
eastleigh recently beat basingstoke!!!

I have no doupt we are more than capable of getting promotion again, but it will be a lot harder than the previous two years, every team we have played this year has been very capable and to win the games there is no room for error. Basingstoke deserved to win last night and fair play to them.
Saturdays FA Cup game is a massive one for the football club, to win and progress would give us a chance to really put Dover Athletic Football club on the map. Eastleigh are a good team and we will have to refind our old form and be on our game to progress. Lets hope for a good turnout from the Dover supporters and that we really get behind them as the atmosphere last night was a bit flat all round. - 21 October 2009 13:1931106PAUL

and make the diffrence to hear the lads being cheered into the next round - 21 October 2009 18:1731128I was there last night,I have said this before Dover of late are not playing well and that can be said of the game last night, they were not the best side by far and it will take alot now for Dover to get back on top.I think they will be in the top five,but will still be where they are today at the end of the season. See you all Saturday I think they will win than about 2-0.
