  Darn, I shall be away for this. Here are three postcards I have acquired showing Charles Rolls preparing to leave Dover, then his plane passing over Dover Castle on his return, and finally his statue in its original setting on the seafront. He was killed in an aeroplane crash a few weeks after his triumphant two-way crossing and became the first person to die in an aeronautical accident in Great Britain.
