  whatever one thinks of the budget, i did not see anything likely to stimulate growth.
  
  to cut the deficit there has to be sustained growth as well as tax rises and spending cuts.
  one other point why did they raise capital gains tax for some when all the evidence shows that cutting it gives a higher tax take.
