I'm afraid Sid is right; the economy was being deliberately mismanaged by a cynical Labour machine that was promising funds that weren't available to projects such as Forgemasters in Sheffield until the very day of the election itself......I'm stunned that power could have been abused in such a way, and to point the finger at George Osborne, who's only been Chancellor for seven weeks, is unbelievable. Without the measures taken yesterday, it's no exaggeration to say that Great Britain would have very soon been witnessing the same scenes as Athens a few weeks ago.
Great Britain is skint, end of. For it to improve, spending has to be cut and taxes have to rise, there is no soft option. And don't blame the coalition for it, it's Labour who've left us like this.
