I'd be interested to know how our LDF was drawn up - were consultants used and if so who? Or was it done purely internally by DDC? Are we allowed to know?

Andrew , I suppose the answer is both but primarily Forward Planning at DDC. A working group of cross party membership , together with parish and town council representation and the business community was established at the beginning of the process and they wporked thru. all documentation incrementally. Evidence was received from many sources but particularly KCC demographic staff. As work progressed elements of the LDF work was contracted out by agreement where internal expertise was not available. All external work methodology had to be validated by participating partners, i.e. Highways and Transport study was agreed by KCC Highways, DfT , Highways Agency etc. Same with Environmental studies , i.e. Environmental Agency.
