I need the services of a local solicitor to read and sign some documents for me.
As I've never had any need for legal help before in Dover I thought I would ask my friends on the forum for any ideas of a good but not too expensive one that could help me. I would rather use personal experience than yellow pages.
There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".
I understand from others Bradleys in Castle Street are pretty good.

They sponsor the annual carnival too, so a decent bunch of folks.

Sid
I will only say I had to change solicitors because of a serious error at your solicitor choice.
but would not want to put anyone off using them, only advise of my experiences
happy for you to ring me jacqui im in phone book if you want me to tell you of my experiences

You should be careful about that Keith.... we have a litigious society!
I dont doubt that every firm has the odd problem what make the difference is how it gets resolved.
Bradleys are good, so are Mowll and Mowll along with several other reputable local firms.

I needed a local solicitor to pursue a case in London and knew no one. But there were people advertising on here so i did what was the obvious for me and called them up. I had had no previous word of mouth or anything. It was Pigotts Solicitors and they did a very good job for me. There was a guy there, he is probably still there, who was a bit of a pinstriped rottweiler and I was glad he was on my side. But this can only be a word of mouth recommendation because as with anything legal it very much may depend on how your case goes as to whether you think your solicitor is any good. But thats not always a fair assessment.
So..Yes BarryW is right we have to be careful.
All these things are subjective at the end of the day.
Good luck Jacqui

I have always used either Pigotts or Mowl & Mowl - both proved to be very good for what I was doing

Bradleys have always been good for me. I believe they're also the Town Council's solicitors.
True friends stab you in the front.

pigotts are excellent, solid sort of company, they always tell you how things are rather than waffle.

Anything you like Brian, and a very welcome change from oven chips, though we don`t eat them much anymore. Going back to solicitor`s, we used Pigott`s back in 1981 with no prob`s.
