As I mentioned elsewhere, one of the shops has been boarded properly and could be useful for "art". Or are we laying ourselves open to graffiti!

As I'm a Trustee of the Municipal Charities, I won't comment on that aspect of this, but I do believe there is a strong case for doing something with the shop fronts - whether along London Road or in the Town Centre.
My own view is that photos of our historic sites and attractions should be blown-up (size-wize) and used to show what we have here - there's plenty of photos that could be used and maybe a philanthropic business would like to help with the cost of blowing up and producing the photos, which of course could be used more than once if handled carefully.
