  Well said JHG, I live in River now and so what, its is just another area. I used to live in Mayfield Avenue & Balfour Road as a lad and my wife comes from St Radigands.
  
  All the areas have their problems from time to time, yes including River with the under age drinking and anti social behaviour on the River Rec.
  
  I go to a pub on Tower Hamlets once a week, never known any problems there, every one is friendly and yes the community spirit is there. I see no reason why Tower Hamlets or London Road is in any way unsafe to walk through at any time.
  
  There is so much slagging off of Dover on here, yes we lack the big shops etc but the town it's self has a lot going for it. I would never want to live any where else.
  
  I had a great time in Wales last week but would not want to live there. Every where we went was lovely except one place. "Carnarvon" we pulled into the car park by Carnarvon Castle and half an hour later we pulled out, the place was a disgrace; rubbish every where and nothing going for the place at all. Yes and I thought at that time some people in Dover complain, they should see this dump with its own castle.
  
  I have lived in Dover since I was five years of age and I am proud to tell anyone, I come from Dover.
