    What's happened is really awful. However, I agree with JHG. I have lived in Tower Hamlets for nearly 5 years now and haven't experienced any more problems than anywhere else I have lived., affluent or not. All towns have their problems, all areas have occasional nasty things happen. In fact, I have felt more at home here than anywhere else in my 35 years. Also, like you Harry I think Dover has a lot going for it. If we always think the worst it will become a self fulfilling prophecy. Dover's not perfect but the glass is half full.
