    Andy - well I have to admit that I couldn't cycle all the way up Turners Hill, got a long way up but it is a bottle neck as you said and had to get off just before the top, just before the green in front of the Crown. Thanks for the sponsorship money by the way. We stopped for lunch at Turners Hill as my sister's boss lives on the route and opened her house up to friends doing the ride - perfect.

    Sid - I was amazed I felt so good at the finish - about half way (Turners Hill) my knee started hurting, but took the pills and all was OK again. The ride from the top of Ditchling Beacon into Brighton was amazing though and the crowd along the route just encouraged you all the way. I am still on a high from completing the cycle ride and am at risk of becoming a cycle bore!
