    getting back to paul's post here, i think he is right that traditional allegiances are not as strong in this generation.

    the core(guaranteed) vote for each of the two main parties gets smaller, hence at election time the two main parties sound much the same in their rhetoric, in an attempt to woo the growing number of undecideds.


    keith makes a good point about councillors getting elected, then never being seen or heard of again.
