Being only three minutes from the Town Centre my wife prefers to support the town shops and is a regular at M&S.
She has recently written to Mr Rose as the failure to be able to order items at the Dover store (as highlighted by Sue) means having to travel to Canterbury with the result that the money goes into the Canterbury economy and not Dover, also means that Dover is "starved" of a sale.
Even worse was last week on attempting to change an item of clothes the staff are now unable to phone Canterbury during the sales to see if it is in stock. Result my wife went by bus to Canterbury (Took 1hr due to heavy traffic in Canterbury plus running late both ways) got there nothing in stock so three hours wasted.
The staff at Dover are very helpful but are often advising people to go on to M&S website to order... surely a recipe for running down a high street outlet which Dover badly needs to retain.
