I echo John's and Sue comments - apart the last part of her posting which was something that should have been deleted of course.
The Cabinet members do work hard, as do the Officers, including the Chief Exec.
All political parties there are speaking with one voice on the regeneration of Dover and everyone is as frustrated as hell at the slow pace - and the slowness is not through member or officer indifference or lack of commitment.
There are problems in the Town Vic, we all know that, but until someone is appointed to the job (if one is created) of a Dover Business Support body, picking up the reins of improving the Town on every level, nothing much will change.
The Street-Scene initiative, much of the Town Councils Corporate Plan, initiatives from the Loyalty Scheme, could all be managed by this body. It must be costing the District and Town Councils a fortune in officer time and member expenses, that perhaps could be better spent on a salaried job funding this body.
