Hi guys. have just returned from a very tiring but wonderful day in London. Up at 3.40am making the packed lunch, and been home now about 45 mins. You will be pleased to know that despite VERY cold conditions the DCAL girls did superbly well.It was a wonderful day filled with colour laughter and despite the pending deep recession, a day filled with fun.
Another terrific day to remember
Superstar of the day goes to my little Rosebud Natascha. Not sure where she gets it from but this little girl could teach us all a lesson in sticking to our guns. With teeth chattering almost ALL day, that little girl never quit, nor wouldn't when asked if she would prefer to stay in the warm. AWESOME
Following on from Roger W's post on another thread. I text the band soon after they left Dover yesterday to thank them for what they did for the people of Dover, and incredibly against all the odds I saw them all again today. If you were to see how many people take part you would understand.
They were so pleased to see me, and couldn't wait to wish me a Happy new Year. I also got plenty of hugs.
As I said yesterday. I hope that from this one visit by one band, Dover could be seen as a place the bands would like to come. I know that all the bands talk to each other, and I think Arapahoe were as impressed with the kindness of the people of Dover as much as we were of them. Hopefully we will get something again next new Years eve.
Ross I would be oh so grateful if you could e-mail me or put on disc the pics of the band, as I would love to be able to send them on to them.
Luv Mand x
