Well, I think it's a great idea and all for it
I grew up on the flight path and was frequently woken at 3am by Vulcan bombers doing circuits, flew Chipmunks from there and even played with the SAR helicopter a few times, did an A level project on the civilian side of the airfield too and years later they copied my idea (not that I could prove that
)
The airport / airfield was there when most of Thanet was cabbage fields and the towns were separate, so locals can't say they didn't know it was there when they moved into the area!
It just needs the right people to get it going and we all know how successful the UK is at doing that!
Anyway, I was surprised to see this in a Dover forum, but then I've been put straight on that before.....
