After the tomato sauce bottle incident things began to improve...thank God.Our rich attractive Saudi friend invited us to his condo for a meal.No problem. So I told the lads to get themselves ready.Frank went over the top and put his Dover Corsairs Blazer shirt and tie on..which under normal circumstances would have been fine but it was 108 degrees in the shade.Dutchie meanwhile dressed ...how can I put this politely....dressed as if he was going to a rock festival. The meal of chicken and rice was lovely but Frank suffering from the heat and being overdressed made his apologies and left.Dutchie was in for the long haul so I took my leave and went home.Dutchie was later arrested that evening for not having any id on him.The police knocked on my door to verify his address but as St Peter I denied any knowledge of his existence..the cock crowed 3 times and he was carted away..only later securing his release by paying a hefty fine....serves him right.
We have bee invited to Subic bay this weekend to sail on my friends 77ft yacht.Dutchie still under curfew has decided to stay in Manila but Frank and I leave Sunday morning armed with 2 crates of beer and a pocketful of cash.Photos and story to follow.God knows what will happen next.Tonight the tail of of a typhoon hit Manila and kept us all ensconed in the local bar...its a tough life..

Well at least you avoided the tomato sauce on yer curry, it must have been a sight to behold, Frank dressed as a colonial type, Dutchie as Meatloaf, don't tell me, you were wearing your black Hawaiian shirt, shorts and Jesus creepers

, if so they arrested the wrong man

Looking forward to your next instalment from Subic Bay through an alcholic haze (sounds like a song by an artist who was known as Prince then changed it back again)

i am a bit concerned who this rich saudi friend is that marek has got matey one.
i am hoping that he has not got mixed up with the wrong sort.
if the chap is tall, bearded and gives his address as a cave, it may be best that marek does not get too closely involved.

I have arrived back in Manila after one hell of a birthday party. The car taking us to Subic broke down so I ended up sat on a back of a tow truck as the driver sped to the next exit where we then hired a driver to take us to Angeles for the night.Subic would have to wait for one more day.Frank was ill so was unable to travel and Dutchie was still under curfew so remained in Manila.Lord Milhench of Sevenoaks took us on a guided tour of....how can I word this....girlie bars.....then we went for a meal.at our hotel was a karaoke bar so yours truly was up there pretending to be Jim Morrison from the Doors and a poor white mans Louis Armstrong.I got to bed at stupid o'clock and woke up with a stranger in my bed...hang on....it was only Fred my bodyguard..close protection...surely this is taking it too far..I slept ready for my next days trip to Subic..and what a day that was...

My God thanks guys for your comments...it is one hell of trip...Dutchie has now been missing for 48 hours..meanwhile Frank and myself are booked on another flight to Borocay an island full of crystal white beaches and sunshine...I need to clear my head said Frankie...ok no problem...but I doubt that Borocay is the place...its a World Heritage site but full of tourists.I hopefully will report back.Anyway Subic was fantastic its an old American base so the roads and housing were superb.Security guards on all the roads and only allowed those with passes to proceed. The yacht club was friendly and old Milhench boat was everything I expected 77ft of pure joy.A live in crew of 4 who keep the place spick and span.Photos to follow..The travelling is hard but the rewards are great.I miss my family and friends but this is far more interesting than Amritsar India where I was earlier this year...no elephants pushing our car to one side..is a bonus.OK its 6am and I need some sleep my bodyguard is on the top bunk and the floor beckons...maybe just one last beer...dont tell Marites ...goodnight folks and Borocay here we come..
