It is not often that this forum has found inclination or opportunity to praise Dover District Council but this is well deserved for their Parks & Open Spaces Division. Marine Parade Gardens this year provide a sea of colour in their planting of the flower beds with pansies and wall flowers and the grass is kept neat and tidy with regular attention in this blossoming early Spring aided by an outbreak (albeit short) of warm sunny weather. A great enhancement to our seafront for visitors and locals alike. Well done to all those that tend these gardens. Long may they stay that way.

Much better all round since DDC took it back in house, noticed yesterday they were preparing the bits near the bus stops in Pencester Road for bedding plants.

Its the only place I can feel I am back in the 70's ....so relaxing and wonderful place. Now planting for Dover people and keeping up Dover I dont mind such little costs for, as we have little in our lives in our town that it kinda free to us and what a place to go to escape the misery of it all.
If only everyone could be kind and honest what a better world we would be in.

Pencester Gardens seems to have been forgotten by the Parks and Gardens department this year. About a month back they weeded there and turned the soil over but nothing has been planted.
