Our 2013 Opening Weekend to the season will be 'MARKET DAYS.' Local market stall holders will set up at both Shepherdswell and Eythorne and our trains will connect the two markets, which should be a great family day out for all. This even also coincides with Kent's Big Weekend, and FREE tickets are still available on their site.
Our ticket prices will be £6 Adult, £3 Child, and £15 Family, making the East Kent Railway one of the best value days out in Kent.
Come and support your local heritage railway, we need you!

Just a few days left! Please come along this weekend and show your support to the railway. Some of the local Blue Bird market stalls will be up here, so we are very excited about this event. Join the heritage train at Shepherdswell for a ride to Eythorne to see the other half of the market.
Trains leave Shepherdswell at 10.20, 11.00, 11.50, 12.30, 14.00, 14.50, 15.30 and 16.40 both days.

Please come along and see what we have to offer and bring your family and friends - we've worked really hard to get ready for 2013, we just need the visitors now. Thank you

It seems the Market Day is cancelled. The trains are still running however.

I guess the lovely Spring snow is the reason, what a shame after all that hard work the visitor numbers will be down.

Hi all
Unfortunately we were not able to run Market Days this weekend, as the snow and cold weather ruined everything! We still kept up the train service however, so thanks to everyone who came along.
We are inviting all market stall holders back next weekend for the Spring Kids event, to have another go!

Who was the gentleman with whom I had a conversation by the Eythorne level crossing gates at about 4.15 yesterday afternoon?
