Hold on a minute there Keith .Im rarely in the public eye these days and as far as Im concerned see other thread which you are prolonging have no interest in who is Mayor .We all know its political .
Now back to the subject of this thread .I wasnt going to post on it but I understand completly what Paul is saying .
Im a good mate of Rogers however like he disagreed with me over the screen I do not think an introduction of a Saturday market will be at all helpful .
It will take the trade from a very fragile shopping centre
You can only spend your money once so if if you purchase meat, fish ,vegetables on a Saturday you are hardly likely to go to the shops which we already have in town .
The Market will not be a glorious resurrection of Dover Centre ,like Ron Dennis said to me years ago .He was not a Knight in White Armour coming to rescue Dovers economy .
What we all need to do is to support what we have .Fight for the business rates to be reduced ,clean up the empty shops etc .
Im now off to Canterbury where you can get clothes which suit the older woman .Peacocks ,Dot Perkins you can keep . .
