    Just a reminder that this is Merchant Navy Day. There will be a short gethering at the memorial on the seafront prior to the service at the Town Hall. I will endeavour to get a picture or two and do a little piece for the frontpage.

    But a good turnout at either event would be appreciated Im sure and I know many of you will be there. The Mayor is laying a wreath at the Marine Parade statue as no doubt will others.
