Yes, I'm back! I spent 3 days in the KCH after being admitted as an emergency on Saturday morning. Amongst other stuff I've been taking Ramipril for years to control the blood pressure. Earlier this year the pain killers for the arthritis weren't working so I was prescribed Diclofenac. Unfortunately, in a small percentage of cases the combination destroys the kidneys. Luckily it has been caught in time and I have now stopped taking both. After I have settled down and had more tests I will be reviewed for an alternative.
It all explains why I have been feeling very rough the past few weeks with what seemed to be a permanent hangover. So if you've met me in the street and I haven't been chatty you now know why.
It has made me take the decision to slow down and give up a number of things including LRCF. The only things I shall carry on with are the odd p.a. systems that I do such as Remembrance Sunday (and Wednesday 11th November this year, unveiling of a new name plate on the war memorial) and Hellfire Corner and the Dover Film Festival.
Thanks for all your good wishes.
Terry
