I've joined in with the spirit of things and put my name down for the spear throwing later.

Really sorry that I missed this important event. Have to admit that I have always admired cultures from other lands that can only enrich our lives. For starters, we have that foreign tradition of FGM which is now very popular in this country apparently, although for some strange reason has been deemed to be illegal. ( But don't worry, virtually nobody will ever be prosecuted as that would appear to be "racist" )
Another favourite of mine is the culture of being able to beat and rape your wife with impunity and if they complain they get an even bigger beating......quite right too, who do these women think they are?
Third on the list, so not quite as important, are the extremist skills shown by our foreign friends such as " How to behead the infidel in thirty seconds ", " How to prepare your own suicide belt " and last but not least, the development and application of Sharia Law which can certainly teach us a thing or two about dishing out justice etc.
I'm sure that I've missed a few facets of multiculturalism that I should also be celebrating so will appreciate any reminders from other forum members.........seriously!

I am surprised that nobody has picked up that we don't have a multicultural society in Dover which is 95% white British. The few people with dark skins that run shops and restaurants were mainly born here and the fact that we have no mosques or temples in East Kent suggests that we don't have any integration problems.
I saw a similar event in Folkestone a few years back and they had Nepalese people doing their dancing and singing which was very good and we know they have a large presence there. Then there followed performances from various African people and as far as I know there is no African presence in Folkestone.
I looked around yesterday and this Samphire mob had clearly bussed people in for the event as they need to justify their existence therefore getting more funding.

Believe it or not Howard I was wondering about the "funding ". Wonder who pays for that?
As I daresay the same as most of us, never had a problem with the Nepalese folks, gentle people, never any trouble and pro British compared with some others that I can think of.
