I see nothing crude about once a year showing our respect and giving to a cause that will support those families affected by conflict both past and present. Yes you can argue the Government of the day should give more but we should never ever forget and this is the way most free Countries do it. In fact some Countries do a great deal more than the U.K. to remember, Australia, N. Zealand & Canada with their ANZAC day etc.
Still each to their own point of view, but at the same time this is when we can show why we have the right to express that point of view and give but a little for it..
