Watched the first episode of the new Doctor Who (Matt Smith) yesterday, and, well, what a super piece of entertainment it was too. The new Doctor reminded me of Patrick Troughton's version, and so I may well watch a few more episodes. Well done to the writers and all who made this such an enjoyable first episode, I hope they can maintain the standard.

Agreed Sid. The BBC have made a great job of Dr Who since they resurrected it and the new Doctor looks very promising.

I had my doubts about Matt Smith at first but as the episode progressed his performance seemed to improve. Not too sure about the plot line though!

I think Matt shows a lot of promise and the script writers have obviously taken into account the male audience with the new companion. I loved the line in which she explained her police uniform as being, "this or a French maid."
My favourite line of the show would have to be that he had twenty minutes to save the world and all he had was a post office, "and it's shut".
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.
