    I'm not qualified to pass comment on Spencer Cork; I don't know him but I wish him well in a job that looks like a poisoned chalice to me.

    I can't see him working for the salary offered either. Just as an aside, isn't it illegal to sack someone and then reappoint another person in their place? Normal practice is to at least have the good grace to change the job title, but then good grace appears to be in extraordinarily short supply at Dover Chamber of Secrets (with due acknowledgement to JK Rowling).
