I do apologise but I must say summat!!!!!!!
I think I will again go over the Issue, you will recall that all those cllrs that stood as LABOUR cllrs signed up to abide by labour party decisions, and yep the party as always met to decide in a democratic vote who they would put forward as a LABOUR nomination for mayor. dep mayor.
NOW lets take this that one step further, I'M not against any indy standing tory or whomever, thats grand, what I'm against, is the rebel 4 so called labour persons went the labour meeting and knew full well who the nominaton would be.
The rebel 4 then decided not to vote in this direction.
Of course the rebel 4 probably wouldn't even be cllrs had it not been for the work put in by labour members/helpers canvassing,leafleting to get them elected, and then they do see.
Let me make myself clear, I have no issue if these rebel 4 had the guts to stand as indies, or indy labour or whatever and resigned there seats and stood as indies, at least I and others would know where they stood.
At the moment these 4 are using the labour party and i have to be honest they have lost my support.
I have to say one of the 4 whom i don't have a lot of time for or support, I did appreciate her belief in democracy, and she would always fight for decisions made whether she agreed or not she would abide by that decision, these last few months/year has opened my eyes.
These are my personal thoughts that those 4 who find they cannot support the labour decision should do the honourable thing and resign there seats, and by all means stand again as Indies or whatever.
And finally, please don't be taken in by David H and his indy bit.
The alliance will have met and i suspect the rebel 4 with them.
But thats not of interest to me.
Because it would be wrong of me to question how much any mayor/ has done I won't go down that route.
I'TS just sad the rebel 4 couldn't do the honorable thing
