  As we have yet another woman as DTC Mayor Dover must have a very high standing with regard to non prejudice to women, have the tables been reversed and Dover is prejudiced against men.
  
  How can this woman fit everything into her political life Dover Mayor, DTC councillor, DDC councillor and KCC councillor surely one of them will come second best.

  Best of a [very] bad bunch Jan. It's really about time that this Parish Council consigned the regalia to the museum and set about saving this town properly. Pam is a smashing lady, on the occasions I've taken a query to her it's been actioned quickly, but the egotism and faux ceremony that the Town Council practice has no place in a modern democracy.

  as jan has said being on 3 councils and being mayor is not something that can be done properly.
  
  mayoral engagements take up a lot of time so the other duties have to suffer.

  I suspect her deputy will do most of the minor events while those that have more standing and photo opportunities will be attended by the mayor.
  
  As you can tell I have no time for all the pomp that our useless Town Council seems to relish.
