  It is a good, and much needed, development of a play area and I am sure that it will be well used by the children of Elms Vale. There can be no criticism of the facilities offered or to DDC for providing them. There will, however, always be the question of there being play areas in communities where children live, where children can play safely in reach of family and friends and does not require travelling distances. Properly maintained, not closed - decommissioned or left open but unsafe to play-in, areas are still needed in the communities where people live.
