09:5869918Apologies to all who were looking forward to lunch at Blakes today. Having been up half the night with Montezuma's Revenge, the law does not allow me to cook for the public until 48 hours has elapsed since last symptoms.
Hope to be back in action next week.
PG.
PS Bar is of course open as usual noon-11pm.

12:2269935seems a rather draconian piece of legislation.
why do they not allow people to carry on preparing food wearing a surgical mask?

13:5869947Surgical mask or no, would you like to eat a sandwich prepared by someone who might be suffering from an E:coli infection?

15:4169954That's what I like about Peter and Kathyn, they are honest. Any other place would have carried on regardless.

06:2570027Thanks Howard; I realise I am one of her main problems - and assets.
She's very stoical about most things, but she does seem to get infections/illness etc. from glasses and cutlery when eating/drinking out, so we now take her own glass and knife and fork to most places - not Peter's though, they're always clean there.
