I do know people like myself who find the screen totally obtrusive, and completely lowering the image of the town. As Paul says above, it`s here and I`m sure it will be for a long time. I`ve been in the town most days, and I`ve yet to see any of the benches full up with a viewing audience. Yes, local kids singing on it at Christmas time or other current events, but the rest of the time? A big no from me, and I always understand others opinions. Do people really want to come and see the depressing news headlines all day long while they`re on holiday? If it`s yes, then I`m saddened. I`ll say it again, TV will never rule my house or life. No problem with me if other`s feel different. I shall be watching some of the world cup by the way. My eldest daughter will have it on.
