09:3737173Just a small note to encourage inactive users to get going, to get involved. In a limited membership organisation (currently 80 approx) its important that everyone does their bit. As most members will already know we have a policy to exclude peeps who dont take part, dont use their membership.
Im talking here about some who have been inactive for ages...not someone who may be taking a breather...a couple of well known members who come to mind for example ..Ben Bano who has never logged on at all, despite encouragement, and even Jeanette Harper who we havent heard from in an age. There are others too but only a small handful.
These guys are very welcome to take part..we are not not not keen to have to exclude any member, we would much prefer that they take part.

20:4137229don't forget colin, the hundreds of people that are online reading the forums but never become members.
surely they all must have viewpoints to put across, or even different interests that they can share with us?
getting back to paul's post, surprising that mr bano is so reluctant to put the opposition case on DDC, also would be nice to see jeanette bring us up to speed on her work to improve the environment of the london road.

21:5537240Yeah c'mon guys - contributing to a forum is contributing to the social network which is contributing to society in general which is a good thing! Expression is still reasonably free in this country - enjoy it while you still have it!

22:0937245I`m one of the most poorest in the country when it comes to conversation, but this forum gives you time to think before you say, and say when you`ve thought, without being put off by the loud mouthed person who`s viewpoint is always right and everyone else`s is wrong. I`ve said on here before, and I`ll say it again, this is a great forum with lot`s of interesting matter`s on here, both serious and humorous. I never thought I`d be reading politics, but all the post`s get you involved.

22:1237247that is why i like this forum colin, you can think up a reply at your leisure rather than being browbeaten in a conversation.
i always feel so sorry for those people interviewed by jeremy paxman, they have no chance.

08:0437637Okay all done. There is actually a very good input from almost all members right across the board and thats great. We are now down to 74 members, there were only six deleted I did write to a few of them including the ones mentioned at the top of the page but got no answer, and two accounts that were doubled up due to password loss have been 'cleaned. So we are now leaner meaner fitter etc etc.
