top class stuff ted, good to see you earlier.
keep us updated with the progress there as you were telling me about the previously hidden gems to be found on and in that building.

DDC were intending to buy it but it ended up being purchased prior to the auction. I know DDC were still hoping to buy it from the new owner (who ever they were), but I don't know if they were successful, or if they are still in negotiations with them.
Maybe they received a section 215 notice.
Good news though - and yes, that lovely stone/brick-work in picture number 4 does indeed look good.

had a closer look this morning some of the stonework is superb, i bet that inside will be even more interesting with original features that have been boarded up over the years.

The photos of the inside, on the Clive Emson website, were not that impressive Howard, although they didn't show all of it.

i could see the colour by peering through a gap in the netting the other day, very encouraging. would love to see the inside when the original features are unveiled.

We also peeped through the netting. It made me wonder if there are other buildings in Dover that colour underneath the paint. It is very the style of the Victorian city centres up north.

does anyone know what is happening on this site?
a lot of work was done on it prior to and after the olympics then it has ground to a halt, i believe it was being converted into flats.

Post 8 says:
My understanding is that the sandilands dental people have bought it to convert into high quality flats
Post 17 says:
Richard Sandilands intends to live there, which might help to explain why he is giving it such close attention. There are a couple of flats at the back though.
