Cyril Smith was a mere Twiggy to Dover`s very own heavyweight, Thomas Longley, landlord of the Star Inn along Church street. He was at one time, Britain`s heaviest subject at 593 pounds, (Cyril was 406 pounds), and recieved a letter from Queen Victoria complimenting him on his good health. He died in 1904 aged 58. He was taken by 12 bearer`s to St Mary`s Church. Does that mean he`s buried there? If so, wouldn`t it be interesting for tourist`s to know about him when they visit it?...... P.S. Was that an intended pun above Jan?
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.
