Whilst today is busy for many, bear a thought for the incident that happened in Bridge Street this morning.
A young girl
(about 11) crossed the road and was knocked down by a car, a friend of mine who was on the scene tells me the girl was flung high in the air, and he immediatly phoned for the ambulance.
I understand the car was NOT travelling over the speed limit
So whilst others may be busytill 10pm
To me, my thoughts go to this young girl, and her family for hopefully a speedy recovery.
Our prayers are with them Keith. Incidents like this remind us all of what is really important; LIFE.

God, how awful. I was on a RoSPA course yesterday so the stats about road accidents are fresh in my mind; hopefully the girl will be OK.........
True friends stab you in the front.

that is uncanny, a couple of weeks after i moved here a girl died after being hit by a car in bridge street.
floral tributes are still put at the spot.
there is a bench on the seafront that commemorates her.
i can only echo other people in hoping that she makes a full recovery.

Awful indeed; hope she is not badly injured.
Bridge Street, as we all know is a short road, so unless the car had sped along through green lights, gaining speed, it's difficult to see how she would have been flung high up in the air, rather than being just knocked down.
Sad though for her and her family.
