The only down side to this project is not knowing if our efforts will be rewarded with a community site or just sold off for development and more "little boxes made of ticky-tacky". I would really like to see this area turned into a community park or gardens despite the problems associated with future upkeep and security. The bottom line is going to be down to money as usual.

The site of the old Co-op Hall (the Royal Mail "baggery" of late) was bulldozed for development but nothing, so far, has happened in what, two years? Maybe this is an example of overblown expectations that may, ultimately, benefit the LRCF efforts for the scrapyard.
