    There is a huge difference between genuine asylum seekers and illegal immigrants now also known as boat people. As a nation we rightly accept the first but unfortunately the latter also seem to be slipping through our incredibly slow system.

    What disturbs me the most are the ITN news pictures from France's beaches of French police watching the over filled boats being launched. Not only does it prove they do F all to stop the launch but also they are actively putting the lives of adults and especially children at risk. It makes me assume France has no active life endangerment laws or are turning a blind eye just so they can get rid of these people.
