N.B. If, as this article suggests, local councils will be expected to take up to 0.5 per cent of their population as asylum seekers, with a population of 116,400 in Dover District that would be just over 580 persons.
Putting it bluntly most people in Dover/Deal have no comprehension of what is going on in much of the rest of the country once you get up towards the Midlands and above.
