If you mean open top buses as a scheduled service round the town they haven't run since 2006. ( Previously operated by Guide Friday / City Sightseeing ). Despite lots of enthusiasm and effort ( e.g. the recent DTC scheme ) you cannot get away from the fact that it isn't commercially viable. The open top buses in the pictures above are regulars round the town on private hires and odd days, e.g. when DTC have hired them to run round at various events. Indeed, they will be running between Dover Transport Museum and East Kent Railway at Eythorne tomorrow, Sunday 15th July, as part of the museums Classic Car day. They are also sometimes to be seen on busy days on the cruise terminal shuttle bus service, though of course it has to be said that we haven't had much open top weather recently!
