20:1281219interesting investigation has taken place into saudi funded part time schools in the u.k.
they teach sharia law to the extent where they teach children how to cut off hands and feet and give choices of what capital punishment is correct for homosexuals.
at present they are exempt from ofsted inspections.
seesm to me that they are not exempt from incitement to hatred charges, but will have to watch the programme and get the ful story.
not much notice, it starts at 8.30 on bbc1.

20:2381233I don't know why they are exempt from Ofsted inspections. When we taught the kids at home for a while we were inspected. If it is the part time thing, why are Cottage hospitals - in essence part time hospitals - still subject to CQC inspections?

00:5281253I watched it Howard, food for thought there. The lessons were based on the Saudi curriculum, young girls forced to wear the full veil and taught to hate the "kuffar" (thats us).

No intention of intergrating, why the hell do they want to live here?.

11:2581270all very worrying alec, even islamic scholars were denouncing the schools for the warped version of their religion.
those kids will grow up full of hate and a danger to our society.

16:5081318the problem here seems to wahhabism(hope that is how it is spelt) seems to cherry pick all the agressive bits out of the koran then adds some traditional saudi nastiness and completely ignores the bits about "live and let live", i wonder what sort of parent would allow their children to be educated this way.

17:2181322I seem to remember this raising it's ugly head a long time ago, a very long time ago.
If no one listened then I'm afraid they aint gonna listen now.
I can see some very deep and troubled times ahead in this country and our leaders will still sit on their fat a***s doing nothing.

I recently visited a mosque(not sure of spelling) questions were asked of its leaders which reply could have been better.
one such question was;
do you condemn the violence/killings carried out by fanatics who claim to have
associations with your group
reply; everyone are individuals and we cant contro everyone
another question (i raised) whats your view on the bible?
the koran states only there book is correct and the bible is out there but not the correct version(to this group only the koran is)
of course there are dangers in those answers
more so as leaders of the group.

18:2881326sound like the lunatic fringe to me keith, for a start they accept the old and new testaments, just believe that the koran is the final testament.
read an interesting piece by a leading islamic scholar today, he was basically saying that we are too tolerant and allow fanaticism to flourish.
he also added that we send troops to afganistan to protect the afghans from the same regime that the schools are promoting here in the u.k.
his summing up was that saudi arabia had the oil, plain and simple.

19:0981334I think that "leading islamic scholar" has summed up the situation perfectly.
