Panto hopefuls put through paces
GIRLS from across Kent are being given the chance to tread the boards with the stars of this year's Marlowe pantomime.
Auditions for the juvenile ensemble of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs take place in Canterbury on Sunday, September 21.
Choreographer Abi Jouxson-Mair (correct), who comes from Chatham, will be putting girls aged between eight and 16 through their paces at the Prince of Wales Community Centre in Military Road. Registration is at 3pm and the auditions start at 3.30pm.
Snow White producer Paul Hendy said they would be looking for the usual combination of girls who can sing and dance. He said: "Apart from that, all we ask is that they smile!"
He went on: "The girls should come along to the auditions ready to dance and we ask that they don't bring any food, only water. If anyone feels anxious about auditioning on their own - don't! Everyone will be taught a routine and asked to perform it in groups."
