  Wouldn't it be nice if there was interest shown in buying the port from a consortium who already run such operations successfully?
  
  Wouldn't it be nice if they had already hired consultants who have come up with plans for Western Docks which do not involve filling in assets to make a glorified lorry park?
  
  Wouldn't it be nice if any extra housing in the district was rather nice waterside apartments rather than more crap boxes at Whitfield or Sholden?
  
  Wouldn't it be nice if a firm was owned in trust with no shareholders or external investors, able to determine its own direction as a business, and set its own priorities independently with employees receiving a share of the firm's operating profit each year?

  Not quite sure about the first one, it would depend on who they were don't you think Bob.

  Yes, a swathe of chi-chi apartments ringing the Wellington Dock and Granville Dock area instead of The Green Fields Experience on beautiful countryside at Whifield...how about that?

  With a load of people with high expendable incomes close to the town centre rather than Whitfield Tesco.....
