The post you are reporting:
Roger
you will know this has been ongoing for some time, together and with loads of other interested and uninterested people and agencies campaigns/talks have gone on.
Since leaving the priory forum I did bump into Gordon Cowan(KCC cllr for area) Sheila Amos(Town cllr for area)and some locals together with Kent Highways Alan blackburn.
Although I'm just a pleb now, we did all walk the stretch of the Folkstone Road(not as far as Elms vale)but lots of views were taken on by Mr Blackburn, whom I have always found to be helpful.
He did say then that these works were to looked at.
So well done to everyone who has moved this one.
It has been a hard slog, but one of the things that kept me going was seeing the sewers pipes collapse (or the rd) and the folkestone Road close to St Johns seeing those lower flats flooded and have a nightmare of a time.
Iv never seen so much water, those residents never forgot that day, and then watching in light rain people being unable to use the pavement from the ex mildmay hotel to St Johns Rd because of the puddles and being splashed by passing cars was something that made me say, come on get summat done.
Thanks to everyone, but we don't often praise council officers on here, so thanks also to Alan Blackburn who may or may not read this, but he was a man of his word, well done Alan.
