    We seem to have gone a bit of track with this thread! To bring it back to the original post, how about moving the bandstand to the Granville Gardens - replacing the miner - and creating an excellent outdoor venue for summer concerts on the seafront? This would also recreate the scence in the early 1900s when there was a bandstand in the Gardens. Perhaps this could be included in the wider DHB plans for Terminal 2? They have said they would welcome ideas from the public on the use of the beach and seafront.
