Ross, you clearly have spent very little time with a rottweiller dog. As a proud owner of a rotty AND a dobermann, and having known many such dogs in my life, I can honestly say that your comments are totally misguided and straight out of the Daily Mail's guide to life. Saying "these dogs are bad enough on a stout leash with a responsible owner" is uttter rubbish. Frankly, I feel safer leaving my kids in the company of these dogs than I do with most humans! They are loyal, affectionate, totally trustworthy, and almost everyone who meets them falls in love with them eventually. Sure, they'll probably savage any burglar to death (tough crap on the burglar I say) but other than that they are the absolute best animals I have ever owned.

I hear what you are saying about the terriers and staffs etc, they are indeed owned by an increasing number of yobs who use them as a form of living weaponized status symbol. But please, don't go lumping my dear rotties in with them all, it just continues giving ALL large working/livestock dogs a bad name, especially if they've appeared in an Omen movie!
