just read that an application for change of use has been made for ground floor of the "amsterdam house residential home"(don't laugh, to be turned into a cab office.
the place always looks ready to fall down, a lot of work must be needed to make it habitable.
Not so stupid......
1)......There is a major doctors surgery being built next door
2)......Plenty of room for parking...
Good luck to them......................

There is a new licensed taxi service operating from Amsterdam House, so I guess their new licence will include a booking office.
It won't need the whole ground floor though, just an office.
When Doctor Premnath's new Medical Centre opens, a taxi company next door will be quite useful - as will a pharmacist/chemist.
I get (almost) every planning application sent to me, but must have missed this one.

i am on the email list, get updated every few days, there seem to be many applications that are then withdrawn.
a few weeks back there was a plan for the derlict christchurch hall stuck in an alleyway to be converted to flats then disappeared off of the list.

Yes, I saw that one Howard - five flats in the Mission Hall (as was) and four for the main house.
To get all those units - and most are bed-sits/studios, the rooms must be (very) small, so I doubt if they will be people using the high-speed train for London (an understatement).
Roger
Perhaps those people need to live in bed-sits/studios, to be able to afford the
high-speed train...........
we all have to start somewhere.. shame that immigrants and low income people are in your Ward .... Mr Walken...............

I don't have a problem with low-income people Charlie (I'm one myself believe it or not, I don't have a job, nor a state pension, just a small private pension from a previous employer) and no problem with immigrants either (I'm one of them too, I came down from Barnet in Hertfordshire).
My problem is with people who are not productive, cause social unrest (as has been seen on other threads) and do not care about where they live.
I am currently, the Chairman of the Priory Forum and we had a very successful clean-up in September - two in fact. The community came together and helped improve their area.
I am working on the next project that I hope will improve the lives and living conditions of many people who live in private rented housing.

i think that the plan might be to cram as many in as possible into the flats bearing in mind the new benefit rules that will force people out of london.
