Police Convoy!
- 6 December 2011 08:44141118Through the gloom I noticed the blue flashing lights of a Police vehicle coming down Jubilee Way early this morning. It was crawling at 5mph and appeared to be leading a convoy of vehicles. I can only assume that the flyover must be very slippy or even icy and they were cautiously leading the vehicles down. All drivers should be careful just in case...

- 19 December 2011 16:44143280Police doing the same thing today.. a few minutes ago in fact..they crawl down the hill in a convoy and then just drive away, so Im not sure why its happening...as the next lot of traffic just come down as per norm...as far as I can tell..but there we are.
Conditions are obviously very tricky coming down there.

- 19 December 2011 17:03143288Definitely just at a crawl Martin. I know what you mean, but no..they come down at a crawl or near crawl...just like they did before in top shot. Ive just had another look now...all coming down normally. No police, unless there is something further up. There was a truck with lights flashing in the sandpit at the base at the time...you can just see it in the pic with men in fluorescent jackets, unless it was something to do with that.
I guess its not one of the great mysteries of the universe but twill do to be going on with..lol!

- 20 December 2011 09:07143385Speaking of lorries jack-knifing..there was a lorrry incident last night on this very spot. Very topical re this thread. The lorry overshot somehow coming down Jubilee Way as shown above and ended up in the deep sandpit at the bottom, just exactly where those guys in the fluorescent jackets are in the picture. Several police vehicles came and I assume tow trucks came later etc..as its not there this morning.email: dover7@msn.com
